Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences & Research (VIMSAR), formerly known as V.S.S Medical College, Burla was declared as an autonomous institute w.e.f. 01.01.2015 by Govt of Odisha with an aim to build it up as a premier medical teaching and research institute of the state.

VIMSAR has a lot of potential for growth which is unrealized. Steps are being taken to upgrade the health care facilities to the satisfaction of public and also to open superspeciality courses in various disciplines which could take this institute to the next level.

I thank Govt. of Odisha immensely for its constant support and guidance. I also thank the faculties and support staff for their constant endeavor to develop this institute further.
